LIZ EARLE CLEANSE & POLISH HOT CLOTH CLEANSER

As a complete Liz Earle virgin, I decided that a good place to start would be with the famous Hot Cloth Cleanser. This cleanser is raved about by so many beauty bloggers and as someone who doesn't have a strict skincare routine (I know, I deserve a slap on the wrist), I thought it was the best way of introducing myself to the brand.

All you do is massage it into your face, but the key is, your face has to be dry. Start with the face and neck and then finish with your eyes so that you don't spread your eye make up all over your face (unless you want to look like a panda). To get my mascara off, I have to massage it into my eyelashes. However this is  never a problem as it doesn't cause any irritation or soreness to the eyes and works really quickly. Next you have to clear all of the make up/cleanser concoction from your face. This is done with a warm damp muslin cloth. If you buy the kit, you get a 100ml bottle of cleanser and 2 cloths (as you are meant to replace the cloth as often as you can because they lose their exfoliating action). The muslin cloth works as a gentle exfoliator, and is so gentle that you can use it twice a day, everyday. All you do it run the cloth under a warm tap and wring it so that it is just damp. Then you just polish off the lovely mixture that's on your face, and finish by splashing your face with cool water.

This leaves my skin so soft and smooth and really makes me feel refreshed. I use this at night before I apply spot treatment and night cream and then in the morning I use a The Body Shop face wash with the muslin cloth again. My skin is always so soft and I believe a good cleanser and, more specifically, a good muslin cloth is essential.

Have you tried the Hot Cloth Cleanser or anything from Liz Earle?
