A FEW OF MY FAVOURITE THINGS

Since I'm changing things up a little bit on All Things Elsie, I thought that I'd change the way I do my 'favourites' posts. In the past, when I've done them every month, I've felt a little bit forced to pick things to write about. So, instead I'm only going to do these kinds of posts if I have a good little group of things to talk about.

I'd also like to take this opportunity to vomit my emotions onto your screens - I've loved coming back to blogging and you've all been incredibly welcoming with your lovely comments on here and on my twitter. *Sends you all a virtual hug*. I think that's enough word vomit. Roll on the favourites.

MUA MATTE LIPSTICK IN FAWN FANCY
After posting my Inspired By Kylie Jenner post, I spotted a review for this new MUA lipstick that said it was a dupe for Kylie's favourite lip colour, and I had to get it. It was only £1, how could I not? All I can say is that I am blown away by the quality of this lipstick. My lips are usually quite dry and this formula smooths right over any imperfections. Granted it's not the most pigmented lipstick in the world but when you layer it up, it doesn't feel heavy or like it's going to slip and slide all over your face. It's a matte formula and so it lasts really well. I am very happy to wear this lipstick during the day and know that it's going to sit tight on my lips and not going to make them look dry or uneven. The colour is a great Kylie-inspired shade - it's a gorgeous natural pinky-nude. A great everyday my-lips-but-better shade! For £1, you really can't go wrong. Can you tell I'm pleased with it?

H&M PACK OF RINGS
H&M - £3.99
H&M's website is really rubbish, so I couldn't find a link, but I'm pretty sure that they're still selling these in store. I bought these a while ago but I have been wearing them all the time recently. These came in a huge pack of about 20, and are all in different sizes and coloured metals. They are all thin rings and so they are great stacked up - I often end up with about 10 of them on at once. These do leave a little bit of colour on the skin but a quick layer of clear nail polish on the inside soon fixes that. These are so affordable and are a great staple.

SLEEK EYEBROW STYLIST IN LIGHT
Superdrug - £5.99
I have been stealing my mum's W7 eyebrow pencil for a while, as I have fallen out with using eye shadow to fill them in. I have been using eye shadow for so long but have recently found it takes so much effort and they just don't end up looking as natural as I would like. So, long story short, I picked up this one from Sleek. It has a spoolie at one end, and a waxy pencil at the other end. The waxy pencil grips really well to the hairs (instead of drawing on my skin and not looking as natural). I've been using this product everyday and have found my eyebrows look so much more natural.

PRIMARK HEADPHONES
Primark - £6
I picked these up on my last trip to Primark - I wasn't expecting anything of great quality, I just thought they looked cute, but I have been pleasantly surprised! I doubt that they'll last very long, but the sound quality is actually pretty good (especially considering I only paid £6 for them). I think they came in a few colours, but I went for the pale blue ones. They're also quite comfy on the ears and it takes a good number of hours before I get any discomfort. I have been using them pretty much everyday and my fingers are very much crossed in hope that they don't break any time soon.

GARNIER MICELLAR CLEANSING WATER
Boots - £3.99
I have been using Bioderma for about 6 months and when my bottle started coming to an end, I decided to look for a cheaper alternative. There are a couple of drugstore micellar solutions available, but I had seen the Garnier one popping up in a few 'favourites' posts so I thought I'd give that one a go. I am planning to do a comparison post - but to be really honest, I can barely tell any difference. For those that don't know (where have you been), micellar solutions feel like water and have no fragrance but they attract the oils and dirt so that you don't have to scrub away at your face. This one from Garnier is an amazing Bioderma alternative that is a fraction of the price and works just as well. I'm sold!

Let me know your opinion on cheap lipsticks, cheap headphones, eyebrow pencils and micellar water, in the comments below.

Also, comment with things that you've been loving recently.
