SPAIN PHOTO DIARY

The posts here on ATE have been a little lacking over the past fortnight due to the fact that I've been sunning myself (or rather 'shading' myself, as my skin is like that of a ghost) in Spain. I love looking at photo diaries - they're a great way of quickly sampling a little bit of the world, and also I just love having a little nose-y at where people have been visiting. I was staying in a village in South Eastern Spain. We were a ten minute walk from the beach and all of the restaurants and shops, making it a really nice place to just wander around and explore. We spent many an early morning enjoying the quiet beach and empty sea. Now that I've waffled on for a little bit, I'm going to get straight into the pictures.

This holiday was the first time I'd taken Cassandra (my oh-so-creatively named camera) abroad and I have taken (way too many) arty farty photos. Also I got plenty of chance to wear my new sliders from Office, that I looove.

I also had chance to finish #Girlboss and it was amazing! My favourite chapter was entitled Shoplifting (And Hitchiking) Saved My Life - Sophia has some brilliant stories to share.

This foot selfie was taken at 9am, and it was the perfect time to go to the beach. There was no fighting for a decent patch of sand, no noisy beach neighbours, and nobody else in the sea. Bliss.

Probably our most adventurous night was spent climbing to the top of these natural sand sculptures. I'd like to mention at this point that this was after a restaurant meal and so I was wearing a maxi dress and jelly shoes - not the most appropriate climbing attire. Everything was fine and dandy until it came to getting back down, at which point I decided to resort to shuffling back down on my bum.

This day was bliss. We got up early and headed to the port for a boat trip. I spent the next two hours blasting out my favourite summer tunes through my headphones, breathing in the sea air, and taking just over one hundred photos.

This photo was taken on the final morning and I had woken up before sunrise. I took the opportunity to go take some cool photos in the garden. I took this one from the roof terrace and all the colours of the other villas - it was beautiful.

If you've been away this summer, I hope you had a lovely time and I'd love it if you left a link in the comments to any holiday posts you've done.
