DIY: COPPER HANGING NECKLACE HOLDER

I was debating whether or not to actually make a post out of this or not because it's such a simple idea, but I wanted to share this one with you guys. This is perfect for hanging all of your necklaces on, to avoid the dreaded tangled mess that always seems to happen in jewellery boxes. And it's copper - need I go on?

YOU WILL NEED:
COPPER PIPE - PIPE CUTTER - TOMATO KETCHUP & CLOTH - STRING - SCISSORS - NAIL & HAMMER

1. Cut your piece of copper using your pipe cutter - just keep tightening and twisting. You can make it as long as you want - I cut mine to 30cm.

2. Polish your copper using tomato ketchup and a soft cloth - weird but it does a good job.

3. Thread your string (whatever kind of string you like - a bright contrasting colour could be fun) through your pipe and cut to the length you would like. Tie the ends together and pull the string through your pipe until the knot disappears inside the pipe, so that it's not on show.

4. Use your hammer to put your nail into the wall, making sure to put it in on an angle (with the head of your nail pointing towards towards the ceiling) so that it doesn't pull back out when you put weight on it.

Now all that's left to do is fasten your necklaces onto the pipe!

That's all there is to it - a simple one but a goodie! As always - good luck, have fun and don't forget to email/tweet me pictures if you recreate this DIY yourself!
