BEDSIDE BEAUTY

I love taking a sneak peek into people's skincare routine, especially at night as I find I'm really sensitive to things that keep me awake. If something has too much of a strong scent, it keeps me awake. If the night cream I've used gets into my eyes and makes them water slightly, I'll be tossing and turning for hours. Today, I thought I would share mine with you lovely lot.

First up is a fairly recent addition to my routine, the Origins Night-A-Mins Cream. A gorgeous orange scented cream that makes my skin feel glorious. It really does just make your skin feel clean and hydrated. (This also comes in an oil-free version). This one is perfect when combined with the GinZing Energy Boosting Moisturiser. Then, it's time to attack the Peak District that is my trusty collection of blemishes and bumps, trusty because I can always count on them being there. I apply the Origins Super Spot Remover. I tend to just wash my hands first, and then use a finger to apply this (washing hands after as well) but it's probably best to use a cotton bud for each so that I'm not spreading them all over my face. Lord knows I don't need any more. I find this spot treatment to get rid of those really tricky, sore spots in just a few days. It's no overnight-miracle-worker but it sure does a darn good job.

Particularly at this time of year, looking after chapped lips can be difficult, and so I use two products to help with this in the evening. The first I use every other day, and this is the Lush Popcorn Lip Scrub. I love a good lip scrub and this one is great at gently polishing away all of the dead skin. Plus, it tastes like caramel! I can always rely on the Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm. I don't really think you need another blogger's description of this product, but it's basically a fairly matte lip balm that immediately sinks in and will last until morning when applied at night. A saviour in my books.

Last but not least, the Clarins Hand and Nail Treatment Cream is a product that I have been using for years. Like most Clarins users I believe, my mum introduced me to the brand. Clarins is a great skincare brand and they have some amazing cleansers, but this is one product I won't let go of. I have really fragile nails, and now that I have started using this cream on a more regular basis, I feel like I might be able to grow my nails past my fingertips without worrying about breaking a nail and having to deal with a stubby finger.

What are your go-to products of an evening?
