STRIPED TEES & DUNGAREES

TOPSHOP T BAR SHOES (SIMILAR)

As All Things Elsie is going to be more fashion-focussed from now on, I've decided to do something a little different and share an outfit I've put together to hopefully give you an insight into my style.
Recently, I have been channelling my inner child by wearing mary janes, smocks and dungarees, and this outfit really sums up the look I've been going for. Obviously I don't want to look like I'm on my way to day care, and so I've gone for a monochrome colour scheme to keep it sophisticated and a little bit grown up, still. The top I've chosen is from Urban Outfitters and is in a really slouchy and very slightly cropped fit, making it really comfortable. The mary janes are from Topshop, and although they don't do this style any more, they still do the similar style with just one strap rather than two. A lot of people have said these shoes are uncomfortable, but I couldn't disagree more, and I often wear these without socks.

This outfit is really cute and comfortable and is a great transitional outfit for the Spring-to-Summer period.

Let me know what you think in the comments.

Also, let me know your thoughts on where to draw the line when putting together childhood-inspired outfits.
