A FEW (MORE) OF MY FAVOURITE THINGS

Having being spoilt rotten this Christmas, I had a lot of materialistic crap pretty things to choose from for my December Favourites. I was lucky enough to be given a Daniel Wellington from my mum this Christmas - she got me the Sheffield one in rose gold and it is gooorgeous! It makes any outfit look so much more classy and well put together. I also got given a bottle of the new Jo Malone scent, Wood Sage and Sea Salt, and I love how fresh and different it is compared to the usual sweet and floral scents. I've also been using the MUA Heaven and Earth palette a lot to crate some really simple autumn/winter make up looks - the formula is pretty good as well (considering it's £4 for a palette). When I was shopping for Christmas wrapping paper in Wilkos, I bought the Fig and Black Pepper candle and it smells so luxe and expensive.

I've always been one to buy music in physical copies rather than just buying the mp3, and I recently treated myself to the Sam Smith album. Now if you follow my playlists, then you'll know that I don't usually gravitate towards music that is constantly played on the radio. But this album is incredible and I just think it's such a huge achievement for an artist to blow up as much as Sam Smith has in one year. The emotion in the album is so raw, but the writing of the actual music is really interesting in parts and I think that's why it has sold so well and become so popular - the familiar genre draws people in and the quirky twists are what make it special. I watched a video that he did with Zane Lowe and it was really interesting to hear about his journey through 2014.

What have you been loving in December?

I hope you have a fab 2015!

  1. You got some lovely things. I also got a couple of CDs for Christmas and agree that it's nice to have in physical form (same as books). I haven't listened to the Sam Smith album but I'll have to give it a go
