MY THOUGHTS ON THE CULT CLASSIC CONCEALERS

Having got through at least 8 tubes of the Collection concealer, I decided it was time to step out of my comfort zone and try out some new concealers. Naturally, I turned to my fellow bloggers for advice and picked out a couple of the most hyped about concealers, and now that I've had chance to give them all a fair trial, it's time for me to let you guys know what I thought about them.

I'll start by talking about the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer (as briefly as I can) before I get into the other two - there's a reason that everybody will not shut up about this concealer, it's brilliant! (And spoiler alert, it's still my favourite out of all three of these ones). The consistency is thick enough to conceal really well, but not too thick that it gets cakey on your skin. I have super pale skin and the fair shade is perfect for me and even gives me a little bit of highlight on the skin when I apply it on the whole 'triangle under the eyes, down the nose, cupids bow, etc' areas.

Some of you may know that Make Up For Ever has recently been brought to the UK via Debenhams and I decided to pick up the Smoothing Primer and the Full Cover Concealer. And the clue really is in the name of this one - it's a very thick, heavy duty concealer. A lot of people say that they wouldn't use this one under the eyes because it is so heavy, however, I have really bad dark circles, because of genes and having pale skin, and this is the only concealer I've ever found that actually does a good job of covering them. To me, it doesn't feel uncomfortable under the eyes and doesn't get very cakey at all. But I do advise that you use a very small amount and then set it with powder as soon as posible so that it doesn't gather on the skin. This one is also great for highlighting as the lightest shade (Pink Porcelain) really is very pale.

My least favourite of these 3 concealers is the Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer. I found this one very runny, it doesn't do a great job of concealing and seemed to do very little at changing the look of my skin. I didn't even find this great at highlighting the skin as the lightest shade they do is still a little bit too warm/dark for my skin tone. However, I have seen many people go mad for this concealer, so maybe if you don't really have dark circles and your skin isn't very pale, you might really like this one.

So as previously mentioned, I am still in love with my Collection concealer and it's still my number one. However, I will be keeping my MUFE concealer to hand for when I need a bit extra heavy duty coverage. As for the Rimmel concealer, it's off to the unused-makeup stash for you.
