SKINCARE STAPLES

At the beginning of this year, I went through a phase of being REALLY into skincare. I'd got really into Caroline Hirons and Ruth Crilly's blogs, done a tonne of research, and tried out a lot of different products from high end to ultimate budget bargains. Then over the summer I got REALLY lazy with my skincare and my routine went completely out of the window. At the minute, I'm in a sort of perfect middle ground where I'm using the bare minimums of a routine but it's a routine that I can consistently keep up with. So I wanted to share my ultimate skincare staples with you guys - these are products that I've tried, tested, and more importantly repurchased because they really are the best I've found.

Cleanser // Cetaphil
I'm starting off with a controversial one as Cetaphil in the past has got a lot of stick for its ingredients. However, I do love this cleanser. It instantly makes my skin smooth and soft, and it's perfect for in the morning before makeup. With this one, I think you just need to try it for yourself to see if it agrees with your skin or not, because it has never caused me any problems and does a great job at clearing up my skin. Plus it's really budget friendly.

Makeup cleanser // Super Facialist Vitamin C Cleansing Oil
This one has got to be my ultimate skincare favourite. I have repurchased this oil cleanser a few times now and I still love it. Just apply straight on top of your makeup and it removes it brilliantly, leaving you with soft, radiant skin. Also, it smells really citrus-y and fresh. Love love love.

Toner // La Roche Posay Serozinc
This is maybe the one step that I tend to skip in my routine. But when my skin is extra rough or just not very clear, I give it a good spray with this, or I apply it onto a cotton pad and then rub that on my face. This is another one that's great in the morning before your makeup because the spray gives you a little refreshing boost.

Mask // REN Glycolactic Renewal Mask
This is my most recent discovery of the bunch but it's a definite fav. This mask smells of orange and citrus and is amazing at prepping the skin - I tend to use this before a night out. It smoothes my skin like nothing else and just makes it so fresh and new. I definitely recommend this one.

  1. I love the Super Facialist cleansing oil, I've only been using it from around May but I can see myself repurchasing this over and over again; and even though I have oily skin, this oil is not too heavy on my complexion! I've recently picked up Serzonic too but I'm still unsure whether it's actually working for me or not. I've been wanting to pick up some products from REN for a while now and this has definitely inspired me to finally go out and do so, but for now I'm loving the Super Facialist by Una Brennan Salicylic Acid Anti Blemish Clay Mask as it clears up my skin so well and is still mositurising at the same time. Great post, I'll also be keeping an eye out for Cetaphil :) x

  2. Omg all those products are actually on my wishlist haha! Well I have tried the Serozinc spray and I use it every single day. It's amazing! The Una Brennan oil was sold out everywhere last time I was in London :(, so hopefully it will be in stock next time! :)
