MINIMAL MAKEUP ROUTINE

I think if you're reading this blog, it's likely that you're pretty into your makeup, and it's quite obvious that I am too. But, this being said, I'm sure you can agree that it can be nice to not spend forever on your makeup in the morning, and to just go back to basics. Now that I'm really busy at college, I rarely spend longer than 5 minutes on my makeup on a morning, as I've learnt that I'd rather sleep in a little longer and add a little makeup to my well-rested skin, than wake up earlier and spend longer covering up my haggard, tired skin. So here is my go to routine. Of course it varies quite often - sometimes I'll add more eye shadow, sometimes I'll go for a bold lip, but what's key for me is the matte eye shadow, which really helps to keep things looking simple and easy going.

I start with some good old Dr Jart BB cream and add some Collection concealer to anywhere that needs covering up - I apply all this with my Beauty Blender. If I need to set anything in place, I use the Bourjois Healthy Balance powder and a Zoeva 106 powder brush. I then use my Urban Decay Naked 2 Basics palette for my eyes (Stark all over the lid) and eyebrows (Primal), with a H&M liner brush (cheap but effective) for my eyebrows and a Zoeva 227 eye shadow brush for my eyes. Now I just add a whacking of L'oreal Volume Million Lashes mascara, and some colour on the lips. I start by lightly lining my lips with Mac Whirl lip liner and then blend it inwards to the center of my lips. Then I just apply a little of Nuxe Reve de Miel lip balm over the top, and I'm done!

Have you tried any of the products in this post?

What do you use in your minimal makeup routine?
