SIN IN A PACKET?

"Treason, treason!" I hear you shouting. It's become a blogging sin to use facial wipes as a cleanser. However, since it's coming up to summer, I'm going to be doing a lot of travelling, and so the idea of lugging three bottles of cleanser around the world does not sound too appealing. Just for the sake of ease, I've decided to test out some face wipes to see if they're up for the job.

I decided to go for some from the brand Yes To as they're possibly the most respected brand from the drugstore. I went for the Yes To Cucumbers range as I didn't want to get anything that would irritate my skin if it's a little sensitive from the sun.

Although these don't leave my skin feeling as clean as my usual cleanser, they did a pretty good job. I find that face wipes usually leave my skin feeling scratched and covered in a tacky layer, but with these, the actual wipes are really soft and the 'tacky layer' was pretty much non-existent.

So, my verdict? I wouldn't mind using these on a holiday for a week or two but these wipes don't leave my skin feeling quite as clean as I would like. Basically, I like them but I wouldn't want to make a habit out of using them everyday. Plus, I just can't shake that guilty feeling.

Do you think it's a sin to use face wipes?

If you use face wipes, or have any recommendations, leave a comment below - I'd love to hear from you.

  1. Feel you on the guilty feeling! I always travel with a bottle of actual makeup remover, and only use facial wipes if it's an absolute necessity; on the plane or if I am out partying really late... theundercoverprincess.com xo
